Procure PC06 Cyanoacrylate Adhesive

PC06 a Surface Insensitive Industrial Grade CA

Procure PC06 cyanoacrylate adhesive is a high performance, fast curing, low viscosity cyanoacrylate. It is formulated for fast bonding of rubbers and plastics such as Nylon, PBT, PEI, polyurethane and EPDM. Its surface insensitive properties also mean it will bond most common substrates to themselves and each other.

Procure PC06 is a suitable replacement for Loctite 406.

Directions For Use of Cyanoacrylate Adhesive (CA)

1. Ensure surfaces for bonding are clean and dry.
2. Dispense adhesive to one surface only. Apply only enough to leave a thin film after compression.
3. Press parts together and hold firmly for a few seconds. (Maximum strength achieved after 24 hours).
4. Use Procure activator to cure exposed adhesive outside of the joint, to minimise blooming.
5. Wipe off excess adhesive from the top of the container and recap.

Activator for Cyanoacrylate Adhesives

To accelerate cure speed, use Cyanoacrylate Activators PC750, PC780 and PC790. Fixture times of under 2 seconds can be attained with most cyanoacrylates but firstly test parts to gauge the effect.

Primer for Instant Adhesive

Applied to low energy surfaces, Procure PC77 primer enables a stronger bond on materials like polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE and thermoplastic rubber materials.

PC77  has a mild activating effect, meaning potential for accelerated cure speed of cyanoacrylate adhesives.

Debonding Cyanoacrylate Adhesives (CA)

Remove cured cyanoacrylate from most substrates and parts disassembled with Procure PC68 de-bonder. Test substrate compatibility first, certain plastics may dissolve.

It is not possible to fully remove cyanoacrylate from fabrics.

Cyanoacrylates and Adhesive Dispensing

Factors that affect dispensing are pressure, time and needle size. As a general reference low viscosity liquid would need a small needle diameter and less pressure, a high viscosity liquid would need a larger needle diameter (tapered recommended) with higher pressure to dispense. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for information on the recommended hand dispensing tip.
