Crestabond M1-05 Structural Adhesive

Crestabond M1-05 a dark grey, universal, primer-less, 2-part methacrylate adhesive. M1-05 is designed for bonding composites such as GRP, FRP, carbon fibre, polyester, DCPD modified vinyl esters and gelcoats. M1-05 can also bond thermoplastics such as acrylic, PVC, ABS and metals such as stainless, CRS and aluminium.

Scott Bader’s new generation of structural methacrylate adhesives meet the bonding requirements of most assembly operations. As a result this product demonstrates excellent impact, peel, shear, compressive strength and fatigue resistance properties across all bonded parts. As a result this product is useful for bonding, repairing and constructing kayaks, super yachts, buses, coaches, cars, trains, trucks, doors, windows, cladding, blades, housing, nacelles, motorhomes, caravans, tractors, diggers, off-road and combine harvesters plus many other applications.

This adhesive should be used at workshop temperatures (18-25°C); and due to its 10:1 curing grade, this product can be handled in under three minutes, which ensures the user time and cost savings.

Directions for Use

1. Ensure that there are no traces of oil, grease or dirt on surfaces to be bonded.

2. Dispense the adhesive via manual or pneumatic dispensing gun

3. Dispense initially onto a non-bonding surface until the mixed bead colour is uniform.

4. Mate parts within the working time of the product and clamp properly to prevent joint movement.
